During the CSD11 conference which was held in Cape Town from 13 to 15 April 2011, the formation of the World Forum of CSDs (WFC) was announced. The WFC will have a board composed of 10 representatives of each of five regional CSD associations and the board will be supported by the Secretariats of the respective associations. From ACG, Mr. Yoshinobu Takeuchi (Executive Committee Chairman/JASDEC) and Dr. Wenhua Dai (Executive Committee Member/SD&C) will join the board. Mr. Mohamed Abdel Salam of MCDR (Egypt), representing the Africa and Middle East CSD Association, will take on the role of Chair of the newly formed WFC and Mr. Yoshinobu Takeuchi of JASDEC will be acting as WFC Vice-Chair. Also JASDEC will serve as the Secretariat.
